About the Showcase

Welcome to the Limestone Coast Showcase

Since 2004, The Limestone Coast Showcase has given hundreds of singers the opportunity to develop and test their performance skills in a supportive and challenging environment. The Choral and Vocal Showcase was born in response to a need to expose talented performers from within the South East to others across the country. Showcase has grown so much with more than a hundred performers taking part each year, including some from Canberra, Port Augusta, Melbourne and Adelaide.

We get a wide and varied range of entrants from first time performers who are young and the "young at heart", professional singers, music students to both junior and senior choirs. Performers may choose from a variety of sections including country, blues, jazz, contemporary, pop, gospel, classical and themed sections including Walt Disney and music theatre. A wide range of choral sections are also on offer. Adjudicators who are considered the best in their field have joined us in the past, including the nationally acclaimed music director Jonathan Welch from ABC TV's Choir of Hard Knocks and international gospel performer Trace Canini.

With help of generous sponsors, the Showcase has also become one of the state's most lucrative in terms of prize money being offered in many sections, in particular the Aria, which has attracted added interest each year. The Showcase also prides itself on fairly rewarding those involved. This mix of experience and enthusiasm has helped to create a respected Showcase based and run in the South East.
